A sad day.

Today Glenn is attending a funeral for his friend Steve. Unfortunately, I can't attend due to work. Steve died Sunday afternoon outside of Parker. Their motorcycle group went on a ride to Parker for lunch and were on their way back when a truck pulled out in front of him. He didn't have time to react and hit the truck, flew 30 feet and landed in the middle of the road. He died on impact. Glenn was right behind him on his motorcycle. Had it been a few seconds after, it would have been Glenn. Steve left behind a wife and 2 young children, 4 and 12. His daughter's birthday was the day after the accident.

It's one of those things that makes you sit back and reassess your life in a big way. I realized that Glenn and I had been bickering a lot lately over trivial things that don't matter. Then I thought about the last time I had told him 'I love you'. It had been long enough where I couldn't remember. When he arrived to my apartment, he nearly collapsed and burst into tears over what had happened. He could barely talk. We just cried together and held each other close.

It has definitely changed the dynamics of our relationship. We hug more, say 'I love you' more and let the small stuff pass because it's just not worth it to argue.

We can be taken out of this world quicker than we think, so take a moment and cherish what love surrounds you!
Love you all!

Sorry to hear about your friend...it is always good to take time to say the I love yous, and to let the other things go. May you and Glenn be a peace.
Love, Beth

Why didn't you tell me you had a blog? I don't even know how I got here! Take care! :)
